The project is located in the states of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh on National Highway No. 76 and 25 from Chittogarh to Bhognipur. The project comprises the rehabilitation and upgrading of existing 2-lane to 4-lane and the construction of two additional two lanes with the provision of road works, bridges, services roads, grade separated intersections, ROBs, underpasses, protective works, drainage, safety work, toll plazas and maintenance work. The principal objectives of the project are to:
- Improve the efficiency of selected portions of the National Highway system.
- Improvement of infrastructure as a stimulus to economic growth and social development in the selected corridors.
- Improve road safety for road users
The project is composed of 6 contract packages with a total length of 260 km of road and the construction of Sindh Bridge with about 1.400 lm long.
